Es geht aufregend weiter. Während ich mich noch einmal in den Text gewühlt und Dinge verbessert habe, hat Cosimo erste Sketches erstellt, um sich in das Projekt hineinzuarbeiten und ein gutes Gefühl für die Personen in dieser zerrissenen Zukunftswelt zu bekommen.

Seine ersten Gehversuche hat er Bachir gewidmet, dem Partner des Hauptermittlers Maxim. Schon die ersten Entwürfe zeigen, wie die Figuren an ihnen wachsen können. Ich habe Bachir nicht so einen langen Bart gegeben, aber er kann ihn tragen. Das schrieb ich Cosimo daraufhin:

»I didn´t give Bachir a beard like that and a »Palestinenser-Tuch«. It´s a little cliché but he can wear it. He´s playing with his background as »Arab« although he has never seen nothing but Berlin in his whole life. He has a twisted relationship to his father and doesn´t have the best and closest relation to his original cultural background. He doesn´t want to let go though and uses his arab background to feel special. To feel at home, although he didn´t so much get the feeling that he´s at home somewhere (inside of him and within his family). He´s just feeling kind of at home when he´s lost in this big grey ant twisted City with the Märkische Viertel with his big Fence and the Himmelsriesen, La Ciudad Escondida with the ExPat-Casinos and the dark narrow streets, Old Mauerberlin and all other monstrosities of the past. The different Cultures, the Späties, Wettbüros, Spielhallen. The New Berliner Ex-Pats and Refugees from many different countries including all arabs, that he considers his »Landsleute« although he does´t spend so much time with them and has never seen anything from these countries, that he also regards as his cradle. He´s sad and smiling a lot. He´s hiding. And the more he´s hiding he´s showing of.«

Als ich Cosimos Sketches sah, musste ich an den Ausspruch eines anderen Autoren denken.

»Je exzentrischer die Figuren sind desto besser.«

Bachir ist als »visuelle Figur« noch in der Entstehung, aber ich denke, er ist auf einem guten Weg. Ich bin gespannt, welche Details wir den anderen Figuren und dem post-katastrophalen Berlin des Jahres 2049 noch entlocken können.
